Dog Poison And May Even Kill Your Dog ... A Must Have List
Alcohol ... causes intoxication, urinate uncontrollably, death
Avocados ... causes stomach upset, vomiting, pancreatitis
Bones (most) ... can splinter or lodge in the intestinal tract, can get stuck in mouth or throat, death
Chocolate (all kinds) ... causes increased heart rate, central nervous system stimulation, constriction of arteries, seizures, death
Coffee (all kinds) and Tea ... causes central nervous sytem and cardiac system stimulation causing vomiting, restlessness, heart palpitations, liver damage, death
Fatty Foods ... causes overweight, diabetes, heart problems
Ham and Other Salty Meats and Foods ... causes serious stomach ache, pancreatitis
Macademia Nuts ... causes problems with mobility often followed by sore or swollen limbs
Milk ... causes diarrhea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms
Moldy or Spoiled Foods ... spore molds can seriously affect your dog's immune system and some spores are toxic
Onions and Garlic (in excess) ... causes anemic, weakness, trouble breathing, death
Potato Peelings and Greenish Potatoes ... causes liver damage and not safe for pregnant dogs
Raisins and Grapes ... causes kidney failure, death
Salt ... besides being a drug, could also cause 'bloat" where the stomach fills with gas, and within a few hours, it may twist and cause death
Sugar ... lowers immunity, causes many diseases just like for humans
Walnuts ... causes bladder stones and high in phosphorus
Yeast and Yeast Dough ... yeast acts like a spore mold and some spores are toxic

All these poison foods could have various degrees of toxicity depending on the amount of food and the size of your dog ... but don't take chances and call your vet if you think your dog has been poisoned.
Also good to have on hand is hydrogen peroxide, salt, vinegar, milk of magnesia and activated charcoal.
