Kali's Healing Garden News

While I was sleeping on Labor Day weekend in 1997, I heard a loud banging noise coming from underneath my bed. I jumped up, wondering what the heck. My dog, Kali was kicking and foaming at the mouth. I pulled her out, she was still having a seizure for at least 5 minutes, or at least it seemed that long.

I remembered saying to her "Don't die on me baby, I love you." It scared the hell out of me.

Once it stopped, I let her outside. When she wanted to come back in, she barked and growled at me. She acted if she didn't even know me.

I had no clue what brought this on .... due to unconscious thinking (being brain dead).

Being the concerned and loving mother I am to my dogs, I immediately called the vet on Tuesday. I took Kali in. They had no ideal ... it was all a mystery. This is when I should of became worried and started my own investigation.

They told me to chart on a calender how often Kali had the seizures and how long they lasted. They also prescribed "Phenobarbital" for the seizures.

The drugs did not seem to help much because she was still having the seizures, at least one a week. Kali was getting weaker and more scared and started to eat less.

I think whatever Kali had - it affected her eyes because she seemed like she couldn't see very well. She would get stuck in a corner in my house and had no ideal how to get out of it.

Kali would go around and around in circles.

She always seemed to be cold, shivering actually, but yet her forehead was hot.

I took Kali from vet to vet running blood test after blood test, besides other tests. Nothing seemed to help. I remember saying to my girlfriend on the phone that you could die in this state (Florida) and no one would care. Or any state for that matter.

Also one vet had the nerve to tell me that Golden Retrievers are more prone to seizures and I was gullible enough to believe her.

Previously to having the seizures, Kali and my other dog had all their shots two months earlier. Little did I know how dangerous these shots were and in fact they weren't even guarantee for her, not to get say "Distemper". I also learned that no matter what size dog you have, the shot was the same size? What is up with that???

I use to call Kali my little "energizing bunny", because she was so full of energy. I stood by and witnessed them murder my little angel, because I didn't have a clue (brain) on how to save her life on my own. I looked at the vet as her savior(God) and they weren't going to let her or me down.

I remember going from vet to vet (9 in all) and mentioned to all of them, I think maybe Kali needs something natural to help her. You think any of them money hungry greedy creeps gave me a name of a Homeopathic or Holistic Vet that could save her. Not a chance ...

They just loved to zap my credit card. I spend 3000 trying to save her life and I was more than willing to spend 50,000 if I had to. Losing the money means nothing to me ... because it will never bring Kali back.

I did not have a computer at the time ... if I had known Kali's life depend on me saving her, I would of brought one.

Finally, I found a vet that was a Homeopathic Vet. The first thing he said to me on the phone was that "He used to a vet that was LICENSED TO KILL, too." Everything that he explained to me made sense. I just knew Kali was going to pull through this and be okay.

The Holistic Vet had me switch over, to make Kali her own natural, homemade dog food and gave me natural vitamins, enzymes and homeopathic remedies to give her.

Kali seemed to improve slightly, but then she refused to eat. I feed her with a bottle. After all that precious time, that I wasted believing in the conventional vet, her little immune system couldn't take any more drugs or antibiotics (they stay in your body long after you take them).

So when I got home from work on November 19, 1997 she had the look of death in her eyes. I picked up all 75 pounds of Kali to rush her to emergency, I already knew she was gone. She had died in my arms. Her body was very heavy previously to this time, so when I picked her up and she was light as a feather, I knew that it is was her soul that was heavy ...

I was all alone. I cried for all that was and all that would never be. There was a void inside of me that threatened to swallow me up whole, as I fell into the depths of grief during the darkest and loneliness days of my life.

Thank God for my other dog, Grizzli. I remember him kissing Kali a few weeks earlier and wondering if that was a sign.

Obviously not a good sign. I guess for her it was because she no longer had to suffer. Kali was the victim of being "murdered by lethal injection and toxic dog food", and until the day I die, I will continue to educate people that the only doctor that can heal you or your dog is inside.

The body is designed to heal itself. I pray you never have to go through the hell, heartache or suffering Kali or I did.

I can assure you this, that death from poison vaccinations and toxic dog food is neither quick nor painless. From the day Kali received her last vaccinations (death) shots on March 31, 1997, she only lived 8 1/2 more months and went from a lively active dog, my "energizing bunny" to senior age dog over night. Almost like flipping on a switch ...

I have learned to LIVE with the pain and the biggest regret of my life ... not doing enough for Kali. What I know NOW ... that the conventional vets lacked to do for Kali will haunt me FOREVER.
